The moods

Domestically Mediterranean

The Moods is a small boutique hotel located next to the Cathedral of Barcelona. No more than 20 rooms and two common spaces hidden in the 3rd floor of number 4 of the Ramon Berenguer square, are the result of this project that gives light, comfort and peace thanks to the interior design and the use of warm materials and light colors.
The project is based on the idea of converting this small hotel into the temporary home of its guests, with the clear goal of making them feel at home. To obtain the sensation of comfort and warmth, warm materials such as wood, natural fabrics and fibers for furniture and decoration have been used, and a continuous textile-like pavement that invades all rooms, creating a sense of freedom and without barriers, enables you to walk barefoot anywhere in the hotel.
The details speak the Mediterranean language, in which the craftsmanship and its tradition are appreciated.
The roofs of “volta catalana” have been left uncovered and function as conveyors of indirect lighting, giving volume and texture to each room.
The enclosures of cabinets and bathrooms have been made with panels of woven liana and wood, creating semi-transparent divisions and thus transporting light and tradition from one space to another. The feel of these panels is warm and rustic, just like the terracotta hand-made ceramics that have been used as shower coverings.
