CANTINA CAIXA

A modern corporate space

Distributed across the ground and first floors of CaixaBank’s HUB 03 corporate building in Madrid, this intervention transforms the dining area into a true meeting point: a place to eat, gather informally, disconnect, or simply enjoy a coffee. With a contemporary and relaxed aesthetic, the design aims to create a welcoming, cross-functional environment that encourages social interaction among employees.

The project is based on a reinterpretation of the corporate color palette. Rather than relying on primary tones, nuanced shades such as mustard and lilac blue are introduced, providing subtle chromatic contrast and contributing to a calm, informal atmosphere. This palette, combined with a fluid and adaptable layout, results in a dynamic environment that accommodates different types of spaces: from open areas with large communal tables that foster collaboration to more intimate corners intended for rest or reading.

This duality is reinforced through the selection of materials. The soft, curved forms of the porcelain flooring, used in both light and dark tones, contrast with the clean lines and sharp edges of stainless steel, which introduces a contemporary language and adds character to the space.

The double-height glazed façade, facing the inner courtyard, enhances visual continuity and emphasizes the depth of the space through transparency and lighting.

Beyond its function as a dining area, the new cantina is conceived as a versatile space for interaction, with a strong identity that enriches the everyday experience within the corporate building.
