EGGER INTERIHOTEL
Not to portray a forest, but to evoke its atmosphere
The project, conceived for EGGER under the title “The Forest,” translates the brand’s sustainability values into a tangible spatial experience. It is not merely about showcasing the product, but about situating it within its conceptual origins: wood as a resource, as a system, and as a responsibility.
The space is organized around an organic path that avoids the typical linearity of a trade show. From the floor plan, one perceives a fluid circulation, where the visitor gradually enters as if into a natural landscape. The curved forms of the floor, finished in wood, combine with islands that function as areas for pausing, exhibition, and seating, generating a gentle topography that guides movement. The central element is the constructed “forest”: vertical slats of recycled wood emerging from these platforms. Their arrangement creates varying densities and levels of transparency, while the warm lighting integrated into the base reinforces the immersive sensation, evoking light filtered through trees.
The space seamlessly integrates its various functions: meeting areas, display spaces, and a central table for catalogs coexist without disrupting the experience. Conceptually, the project embodies EGGER’s commitments—sustainable forest management, the use of recycled materials, and its NetZero 2050 roadmap—through specific design and material choices. In this context, innovations such as the Casella ST40 collection and the InteriorMatch concept are showcased, reinforcing the coherence between product, space, and narrative.
